Post card of Cumberland Presbyterian Church ( First Presbyterian Church ) corner view. Olive street runs along the side of the building. North Jefferson Ave. Appears to be unpaved; but there is a street car track switch. Post card was mailed to Miss Alice Archer, Mountain Grove, Mo. Feb. 12, 1908. One cent stamp. Church building was razed in 1929. 3.5 X 5.5 inches. Black ink on white card stock.

Paper tire inspection record and gas ration book holder issued during World War II by Goodyear Service Store, Walnut St. at Kimbrough Ave. Contains mileage ration stamps, mileage rationing record and tire inspection record. Belonged to William M. McQueary, 702 E. Madison, father of donor.

Partial group of business students beside the Springfield Business College located at 412 E Walnut, on October 19, 1926. The Springfield College sign reads, "Learn it Right". The majority of the men wear jackets and ties, the women wear dresses, and some wear coats.

Christ Eposcopal Church youth choir group in white and black robes. Girls are wearing hats, boys are not. One boy in front is holding the cross. Pastor on left. Cardboard peeling on bottom, top right corner of photo torn, picture scratched and tearing at the bottom. Size: 7 7/8 x 9 3/4 in. on 9 x 12 inch backing. Material: emulsion on paper pasted to cardboard backing.

Invitation to commencement exercises for the Springfield Hospital Training School for Nurses, held at the Springfield Club on the southwest corner of Walnut St. and Jefferson Ave. Graduates were Luella Helvey, Nelle Dunkeson, Fanny Mallory, Sophia Beck, Ethel Bly, Helen Davies, Lucille Deffenbaugh.

Black and white photograph, 8x10, of Eliza Lowder Bass, widow of Sampson Bass,giving a demonstration of hand spinning at the Shrine Mosque, at an event sponsored during the depression by the Greene County Civil Works Service.The event was called the Ozarks Empire Exposition.

Two postcards of Calvary Presbyterian Church, NW, corner of St. Louis St. and short Benton Ave. Springfield, Mo. One card is unused, the other was mailed to Miss. Alice Archer, Mountain Grove, Mo., postmarked Dec. 26, 1906, one cent stamp. Photo. Is printed vertically so that the tall spire shows well. The church building sits on a slight rise wlhich drops down at the rear of the building. The building is brick withl a rough limestone foundation and cut stone trim. Elictric lines enter from a pole in front. 3.5 X 5.5 inches. Black ink on offwhite card stock. Current site of Mercantile Bank.

None of those shown are identified. The instructor was Rebecca Andrews of Walnut Ridge, AR. 8 inches x 10 inches. Black and white.

The photo shows the parade going south from the square on South Street near the corner of Walnut, looking east. Systematic Savings and Loan Co. Hopper Beauty Academy, Mosleys Typewriter, Peterson's Dry Goods Store, and Hocklander Jewelry Store in the background. The float is followed by what maybe one of the Springfield H.S. Drum and Bugle Corps. 8 inches x 10 inches. Black and white.

East side of South Ave. between McDaniel and Walnut. Measurements/Size: 8" x 10". Material/Color: paper, black and white.

Black and white photo of Campbell Ave.looking north from Walnut. Identified businesses include Kieffer & Hawkins Furniture (310-12), Charles Mack Dry Goods (318-20), Schwab Bros. Clothing (217-19) South Campbell. A large crowd is gathered on the street. The donor worked as a clerk in the store at the time of the photo. He later had a store of his own in Brookline, MO and then one at 409 S. New in Springfield.

Following them is the black high school band from Lincoln School. Business store fronts shown are the Feed Elevator, Barths, Grant Co. Glasgow, Systematic Savings and Loan, Savage Jullette, Hopper Beauty Academy, Hoover Music Co., Moseley's Peterson's Dry Goods. Black and white, 7 1/2 by 9.
